Inclement Weather
Winter has arrived and so far this Winter’s weather
has been very challenging and eventful compared to the last several
years, and the Farmer’s Almanac is predicting above normal snowfall for
the remaining winter months. During this time, the Highway Department
will do everything possible with the salting, sanding and plowing of the
roads, parking lots and sidewalks. They are very cooperative and
responsive to the school’s needs. Please be advised that it is always
the parents’ decision whether or not to send your child to school during
inclement weather. If weather conditions warrant the need to provide
extra time in the morning for the Highway Department to finish clearing
the roads and plow the school parking lots, the Superintendent will call
for a delay in the opening of all schools. Please note if the opening
of school is delayed, there will be no surround
care available in the morning. Parents must have emergency plans in
place if the opening of school is delayed, or if the students are
dismissed early due to inclement weather conditions, and you are unable
to pick up your child at the early dismissal time.
